The Hive: retail space identity

The Hive is an award-winning landmark building which houses the City of Worcester public library and archive. The Hive shop occupies two areas of building and sells a mix of books, stationery and heritage items. Our brief was to unify the two disparate areas, to draw attention to key items on display and to encourage exploration. The two areas were linked together by employing a shared palette of pattern and colour – creatively applied to signage, wallpaper, product labels and digital screens.
