Coalville: identity

Coalville is a town rich in culture and industrial heritage. The name Coalville comes from its illustrious mining history – but the town could equally be known as ‘Actionmanville’ as it was home to the manufacturer of Action Man, Palitoy. This identity for the town takes its inspiration from one of Coalville’s most visible and iconic landmarks – the Snibston Colliery winding wheel. Adding the identity into the rotating back wheel of a bicycle was a particularly pleasing application.
